A customer who owns a Chevrolet Cruze 2.0 VCDi was looking to get a periodic service done for his car. He contacted Cartisan and was given a quote as follows
- Engine Oil – Rs. 3,300/-
- Oil Filter – Rs. 500/-
- Coolant – Rs. 230/-
- Consumables- Rs. 250/-
- Brake Cleaning + Full Service Labour – Rs. 1,400/-
- Foam Wash – Rs. 450/-
The total was estimated to be around Rs. 6,130/-
The customer approved and the car was taken to the closest Cartisan Preferred Workshop. The Cruze was parked in the service bay and raised up with the help of a lift.
The service began in the engine bay where the air filter was removed from its housing. The filter was in an average condition and the customer didn’t want it to be replaced at that point of time. It was cleaned and placed back.
The engine oil was drained out from underneath the engine block by unscrewing the drain nut from the oil sump. Once the oil was completely drained, the oil filter was removed from the engine block.
A brand new oil filter was installed and fresh 5W-40 Synthup Engine oil was poured inside the engine block. The Cruze consumed approximately 6 liters of engine oil.
The coolant reservoir was topped up with red coolant from Delphi.
Next, each of the four wheels was removed and the brake pads were removed from the brake calipers. Since the brake pads were in good condition, they were cleaned and placed back inside the brake calipers.
The car was then lowered to the ground and parked in the washing bay where it was given a thorough water and shampoo wash.
Finally, a test drive was carried out to determine the service was completed successfully.
