Breakdown & Roadside Assistance

  • What breakdown services are available?
    24x7 Breakdown / roadside assistance arranged at your doorstep- for all kinds of breakdown repairs - puncture repairs for tyres / stepney tyre fitment, flat battery / jumpstart, out of fuel cases normally upto 5 litres of fuel delivered to your location, towing of your car to nearest workshop, etc

    When you place a breakdown / roadside assistance request specifying the nature of breakdown service along with your exact location, the roadside assistance partner of Cartisan will call you & confirm first and immediately arrange and dispatch a technician to deliver breakdown assistance within 45-60 minutes at city limits and more time typically on highway / non-city limits

    Roadside assistance technician attending to your car will NOT be able to handle major repairs at your location immediately but will be equipped to address above breakdown cases as mentioned in the app

Car Cleaning

  • What if I’m not happy with quality and workmanship of cleaning crew?
    We work hard so that you won't be unhappy, but if for any reason you are unhappy with the service or work done by cleaning crew, please contact the helpline phone number listed in Cartisan app (helpline phone will be displayed inside the appointment screen of the app)

    Based on your conversation with the Cartisan helpline, we will have adequate actions taken including but not limited to - repeat cleaning work on your car at the same moment by the cleaning crew to ensure your expectations are met, alternative cleaning crew arranged at another time slot as per your convenience, refund of amount if already paid by you.

    Alternatively please write to us at support@cartisan.in with Feedback what has happened and we will contact you soon to discuss your concern and ensure it is resolved in the best way possible

  • If I need a car cleaning subscription service, is this possible to book through Cartisan app?
    If you would like information on monthly car cleaning subscription option, please refer the Cartisan app under Car Cleaning section and look for Car Cleaning subscriptions option (available in specific cities / locations only)

    If you do not see option for Car Cleaning subscriptions in your city/location, please write to us at support@cartisan.in and our customer service team will get in touch with you with options
  • How long will car cleaning take?
    Full Detailing includes a detailed cleaning of your car exteriors and interiors as well and cleaning crew will use top-quality products and equipment ensuring your car comes out fresh and super-clean

    The full detailing service for a car is typically between 2 and 3 hours, depending on the work that is done and the products used.
  • How long will car cleaning take?
    Car cleaning service typically takes 30 to 45 minutes depending on the condition of dirt and the size of the car.

    For detailing cleaning such as Interior Detailing or Exterior polishing type of services, the duration spent by cleaning crew will typically range 2-3 hours
  • Will a waterless/eco-friendly car wash scratch my car?
    We use PH-neutral bio-degradable automotive-grade car cleaning solutions which cleans effectively leaving a protective film.

    We also use soft Microfiber clothes which effectively take out dirt and keep your car shining and scratch free.

    In cases when the dirt on the car is heavy and thick, our cleaning team will use moderate quantity of water to take thick mud and dirt out first before applying cleaning solutions for cleaning
  • Will the service provider need access to a power source and water?
    Yes - for good quality and thorough level of cleaning your car interiors, you will need to provide access to power for cleaning crew to connect a power based vacuum cleaner.

    If power source is not available near your car parking premises, then the cleaning crew will be using a manual approach of removing dust and dirt from car interiors using carpet-grade mop and brush.

    Access to about 5 litres of water will also be necessary for the exterior of the car to be washed especially if its thick and stubborn dirt that will be difficult to clean with waterless approach.

  • How do I book body paint, mechanical or electrical repairs
    It is as easy as sending us a photo and telling us what repair you need for your car

    We will come back with Quotes inside the Cartisan app for you to choose from along with details of the service provider / workshop that will provide service or repair, their ratings and reviews from other customers, location, work hours, etc

    You can confirm the relevant quote by placing an appointment for a date and time that is convenient, include pickup & drop option if necessary or choose Doorstep service if that option is available in the app so the service technician attend to your car at your doorstep as per your appointment date & time

  • What do the prices in the Cartisan app include?
    We work focused towards an easier and clear experience for our customers when it comes to price discovery for your car's service, repair or maintenance work.

    Every fixed-price package or quotation you see in the Cartisan app mentions charges such as labour /service charges, charges if any spare parts / materials billed at MRP, charges if any for pickup & drop, local applicable taxes such as service tax & VAT

    If you are not clear if any extra amount would be charged to you in addition to the amount mentioned in the app, please always confirm with the customer service agent / partner workshop / technician attending to your car

Regular Service

  • How do I know when my tyres need replacing?
    It is important to regularly check your car tyres for wear and tear. Many tyres have tread wear indicator bars moulded into the tread. When the tread is worn down to where you can see a solid bar of rubber across the width of the tread, it’s time to replace the tyre.

    When you get to this point Cartisan can help you find the right service provider and book an appointment for tyre replacement.
  • What wheel and tyre services do Cartisan provide?
    Our service providers can provide services such as tyre replacement, alloy wheel fitment or wheel balancing, wheel alignment and more as per your requirement
  • Do Cartisan provide seasonal summer/winter/monsoon services ?
    Please look for offers & campaigns in the Cartisan app in the Home screen.

    If what you are looking for is not available there, please use the Request Estimate screen and tell us what you need for your car. We will provide you options and quotes rightaway.
  • What will be included in the full service?
    A full service will incorporate a number of different things depending on the car make/model and current mileage.

    These will normally include:
    • Visual safety inspection along with a road-test by the service technician
    • Engine Oil change (based on whether you choose the mineral / semi-synthetic / synthetic grade of engine oil)
    • Oil Filter change
    • Air filter cleaning or replacement depending on condition of the air filter
    • Coolant level check & top-up
    • Spark plug check
    • Battery check
    • Other Fluids check & top-up in the engine compartment
    • Front and rear Brakes check and cleaning


    Any extra areas that need detailed check can be included based on the symptoms and driving history narrated by car owner during the full service.

    If any extra scope of work needs to be included in the full service, please discuss with customer service agent / technician so the same can be scheduled for your car
  • How often should my car have a full service?
    How often a service is required depends on a few things; the make, the model and the year of manufacture of your car.

    However, on average it is recommended that a car is serviced after every 10,000KM driven, or 1 year (whichever is earlier).

  • Can Cartisan trouble-shoot the problem I’m having with my car ?
    Cartisan offers a service package called Express Service which offers a detailed inspection of your vehicle done by expert service technicians typically in 15-30 minutes.

    This express service is a fixed-price package that you can book through the App and you will get an online vehicle inspection report with findings and quotes for any repair work required for your car.

    Alternatively, if you already have an idea of the issue in your car and want to get a vehicle checkup & repair from Cartisan, please describe the issue you face in your car using the Request Estimate option in the App and provide as much details including nature of issue, photos if any, vehicle mileage details, preferences where you want the service/repair to be arranged

    Based on your issue raised we will contact you with quotes and arrange the right nature of service personnel to attend to your car

Service Locations

  • What is pick up and drop?
    To enjoy the convenience not having to step out in the traffic visiting a car service centre yourself and still see what work is being done on your car at the service centre, use this facility of Pickup and Drop from Cartisan

    Cartisan offers pickup and drop at a nominal fee for car services that need to be performed at Cartisan partner service centres.

    Cartisan will arrange experienced and skilled personnel visiting your location for pickup of your vehicle and also arrange for drop-back of the vehicle once work is completed at the service centre.

    During pickup of the car from car owner's premises and after drop of the car back to car owner, the personnel will provide online inspection report of the car with an inventory of the vehicle condition for reference to the car owner

    While your car is undergoing service and post-completion of service, you will receive status updates in Cartisan app via messages, pictures and videos showing you the progress of service for your car

  • What is a doorstep service?
    Cartisan offers convenience and transparency to you by providing a host of services at your doorstep including services such as Car wash and Detailed cleaning, Periodic maintenance service for oil-change, Breakdown assistance, Minor repairs for Electrical or Mechanical works, Accessories fitment, etc

    For services at your doorstep whether its home or office premises, Cartisan will have a team of service experts / technicians / cleaning crew who will bring all necessary items, tools, equipment, spare parts,consumables necessary to deliver good quality service with no specific items required from the car owner

    Wherever your car is parked, the car owner will need to ensure permissions are in place for the Cartisan team to enter into the residential / office complex for access to the car with no objections from neighbours, apartment association, security guards, etc while the Cartisan crew is working on the car.

    Also, it is essential the car owner ensures no valuables are left inside the car during the time service is being delivered on the car.

Service Providers

  • How do I ensure service providers use only genuine spare parts?
    Cartisan believes what spare parts used for your car are equally critical as the experienced and skilled technicians that work on your car. Cartisan ensures that spare parts used are genuine always.

    When in doubt, please ask your service provider to show proof of genuine spare parts or supporting invoices for spare parts purchased
  • Are all the service providers listed on Cartisan authorized by the car manufacturer to repair my car?
    Not all service providers listed on Cartisan are "authorized" by the car manufacturer.

    Having said that, the service providers listed in Cartisan are reputed and have the technical capability of handling vehicle related servicing requirements. We would request you confirm directly with the service provider if the service provider can service your specific make/model or can resolve specific repair work
  • What happens after I request a service appointment?
    Once you book an appointment for a fixed price package or even place a service request for a specific repair or work for your car, you will receive a call from Cartisan / service provider or service provider will confirm to you directly when your appointment has been confirmed.

    You will receive confirmation via SMS as well as a message inside the Cartisan app.

    In the event there are clarifications required on scope of work, to provide estimates to you or if service provider does not have sufficient capacity to handle your request, you would be contacted via phone, email or chat message
  • How does Cartisan help me choose the right service provider?
    Cartisan provides a listing of service providers in the App matching your requirements (type of service, location of service provider workshop, quality of service delivered, estimated pricing, etc.) and ratings and reviews of other car owners.

    Service providers and workshops are gauged based on their focus on quality of work, prices they charge compared with market prices, good quality & skilled manpower available.

    The final decision as to which service provider to use is that of the car owner.
