Cartisan recently received a service request from a customer who owns a BMW X1. The car was due for a regular service and once Cartisan provided the customer with the quote, the car was picked up and taken to the workshop.

As soon as the car reached the workshop it was parked in the service bay. The car was slightly raised with the help of a lift and the bonnet was popped open and the service began.

First the air filter was replaced with a brand new one.

Next the cabin filter, which for this car is located inside the engine bay, was removed and replaced with a brand new cabin air filter

Next, the engine oil was completely drained from underneath the engine block by unscrewing the engine drain nut. After the engine oil was completely drained, fresh engine oil from Mitasu was added to the engine block. Also, the engine oil filter was replaced with a brand new one.

Each of the wheels were removed and the brake pads were removed from the brake caliper. The brake pads for this car was in good condition and hence didn’t require a replacement. They were cleaned and placed back into the calipers.

The fuel filter which is located underneath the car was removed and replaced with a brand new fuel filter.

The coolant was topped up with blue coolant.

Once the service was completed, the engine was cranked and left to idle. The car was then taken for a test drive to confirm that the service was completed successfully.
